James Calo recived his MEng & ACGI (first class honours) in Computer Science -
Games, Vision and Interaction - from Imperial College London (thesis...) and his PhD in Computer Science also from
Imperial College London with the the Hamlyn Centre (thesis...)
Research Interests:
- Improving the medical field with technologies such as Machine Learning
- Low-energy embedded programming for IoT, especially IoMT
- Federated Learning using Blockchain for decentralisation
- Improving privacy for Federated Learning using Masked Autoencoders for vision
- Bringing training to the Edge, allowing IoT devices to both train and run inference
- Generative adversarial networks (GAN's) for generating training data for Machine Learning
